I took these a little over two weeks ago at Tom Miner Basin, which is just north of Yellowstone's northern entrance. I had spent about an hour there watching for grizzlies (along with dozens of others) and they never made an appearance. On the drive back to the main highway, I spotted these landscapes with the setting sun and pulled over to take the shot. Both shot on the Canon R5 with the 100-400mkII lens. Both were hand held.
Tom Miner Basin as the sun sets and lights the peaks in the distance.
The few remaining rays of light still hitting the peaks.
