Was shooting my boys in their motorcycle gear for a brother shoot. Road was too busy to park bike in street. Still got some cool shots. All pics shot with Canon 1DX and Fuji XT2. Thanks for looking!

The exposures look great. Did you use any additional lighting?

They're good photos of them, but riding jerseys and riding pants would really finish the look. I don't think the chest protectors and boots really do much to tell the dirt bike narrative until they're wearing the helmets.

Thanks, no I didn’t use any flash. I think I will take ur advise and do another shoot with full gear. I have some ideas. Thanks for the feedback!

Wonderful images of your boys, Joel! I love the first 4 and the last 2 images. I would like to see more separation between them when you did selective focusing in the middle ones. Like before I do like the B&W conversion while keeping the helmet’s colors intact in two of them. BTW, if you post more than 3 images, I would suggest numbering them for a more convenient reference in the feedback.

Hey Joel, I'm new to the forum and to be really honest I was feeling very anxious about how people might react to me leaving unsolicited critique, even if it was done carefully. I really appreciate your friendliness and professionalism being my first impression of this forum.

Your welcome Daniel. My personal goal is to get better in every way as a photographer. I personally want the feedback to see it from a different perspective. Im sure some photographers are sensitive but all in all the critiques make us better in the end. I think what you will find is that a lot of people on this site have way different perspectives on composition. Most photographers on this site can take the picture with correct exposure for the most part. What separates the really good ones is the composition IMO. There are some really great composers on this site! So anyways, don't hesitate to chime in, i will never take it personally! Thanks for the feedback!

Joel

Great set Joel. You are lucky to have two photogenic models to work with. I hope their modelling rate isn't too expensive. I really like your bike themed shoots
