These photos were taken in the past 3-4 years ago in July in the hills of Leelanau County, just to the west of Lake Leelanau. The area on the Leelanau peninsula abounds with beautiful landscapes year-round, but you won't find me there in winter lol! Too much snow and cold. Each shot represents a different feel in the evening. The first one is more serene and tranquil and the others after a breezy day. I find it pleasing to go back and look at photos I took years ago. They may not have been done on the latest, greatest equipment but even a few years ago the equipment was pretty darn good. These were shot on a Canon 5D mkII. It was a great camera that held its own and produced many of my favorite photos. As fall blends into winter, these shots of summer remind me of those mild, beautiful evenings up north.
