I can see why Rajan might prefer the first one but I'd be willing to bet money she prefers the second.

In the first, her body is almost square to the camera, her shoulders are the same height, her left arm is foreshortened. In the second pose, she has classic elongation of the neck by bringing her chin back across chinline, both arms away from body with no foreshortening, and body oblique to camera with associated accentuation of bust and relative slimming of waist.

Overall, the second pose is much more flattering to her.
