I agree, two weeks is generally the minimum and I usually give it more like 3-4 to create solid bodies of new work. But in regards to the area you have depicted, I figured the only way I could really bond with it was to move there. So 23 years ago that is exactly what I did and it really made my career what it is today.
With all the fires and smoke, this year has been rough. The colors are great but I have largely skipped it this year because, well....if you live here then you know you can choose a better year to go crazy with. Hoping to get some much needed moisture this week, we are in extreme drought now.
