I agree totally on the 28 vs 35 choice. I have the zoom, which is by some margin, the best zoom I’ve ever used (and I have most of the good ones). That covers my 28mm needs.

I do want a 25mm though.

I read from somewhere that Canon 16-35/2.8L III works really well with X1D, especially from 19mm on.
It covers some wide angle that no XCD lenses cover yet.
I really want to try that…if and when buy one.
