Amazing shot!

May I ask how you got the camera to focus on the head of the bird? It seems to me it would prefer to focus on the wings in most cases since they are closer. Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, I’m new to the forum

thanks for your comments, typically the focused is locked on the head or the body and the tern is flapping really hard and fast thankfully the AF will ignore the wing beat and remain locked on the head in this case.
