This green heron flew in and landed on the bridge railing very close to a few of us at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY. It then dropped down and walked around on the walkway and even walked toward us. I was on my hands and knees crawling towards it as it approached us. I was about to drop down to my belly when it turned and went through the fence down to the stream. I wish I had gotten down on my belly sooner.

I like your first shot here, Morris. Well done.
I saw 2 Green Herons on my walk this morning. They both flushed out at about 50 yards
