p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Kenai Alaska Dip-netting in 35mm film

Starting to shoot film again. Bought a Nikon EL2 for next to nothing and have added a few decent lenses (28mm f3.5, 50mm f2, 105mm f2.5, and a Nikkor Q converted 200mm f4).

Shot these at dusk the last week of the season with the 200mm and Tri-X. Ya, it was a challenge to nail the focus with that lens and the split prism but its been fun nonetheless. I am enjoying "re-learning" this level of photography.

Dip-netting season on the Kenai runs most of July during the Sockeye run. Many Alaskan's fill their freezers for their winter meat during this annual event.
