On Friday I visited the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY knowing that we would get a heavy shower late morning. I war shorts, a tshirt and my Tilly Hat as rain cover. I put the raincoat on my camera and had the preserve to my self for hours. It was a pleasure to be able to take my mask off and enjoy the smells of nature and a fantastic photographic day. Here is a greater yellowlegs on one of the ponds in the rain. It blasted off and passed very close to me. I was hoping to see the rain drops bouncing off the wings yet it's not obvious in the photo.
