this image is from a while back. I wish he was flying just a bit farther from the BG but sometimes you get what you can

shot with D850 and 600E FL + TC-14E III ISO 800 f/5.6 at 1/4000 sec hand held processed with C1P

Beautiful image! Nice detail on the red shoulders, and the bird's position, head angle and eye focus is perfect.
The isolation from the background looks excellent to me. Too much background blur can look a bit processed, this looks near ideal.
