Yes, different from your usual, but still nice. I think I would have preferred a little more room around the animal, but maybe I'm just so used to your wide open spaces.

I didn’t really know crossposting was a thing here but I guess my question is why the op chose this section into which to cross post. I understand maybe posting something in a gear forum and an image share forum but this is a pretty specific forum

OK horse owner since most of my life. Started riding at 5 and am now 60. First horse owned with sister at age 7.

I'm sorry Rick, I don't like the processing. I don't like that the horse has no room for anything. You've even cut one of the hooves. The horse is well muscled and nice. Not my cup of tea, but then I have ridden the English disciplines since childhood. Jumping, Cross Country and Dressage which is referred to as Combined Training or Eventing at higher levels.

Still no space in front of the horse, behind the horse, over the horse's head nor under the hooves.

I'm not fond of this photo. You must have done something in post and whatever it is, not my cup of tea. I love your more scenic photos.

Cross-posting is apparently convenient for some, but if the subject matter is not similar enough, it can confuse some members as to why it was posted in one of those forums. If a member has posted a digitally-altered image in the Digital Art Forum and cross-posts it to the N&W Forum, they should have the courtesy to mention that. Anyone proficient in post-processing can alter an image from subtle to extreme. I posted the image below of the American Goldfinch only in the Digital Art Forum, as it is apparent to myself and most on that forum that it has had considerable altering. If I had cross-posted it to the N&W Forum, I would have mentioned it was digitally altered because there may be some that would not realize that and would appreciate being informed of that.

I tried to check the exif (couldn't find anything) ... any chance credence was given to the possibility it was originally captured on a Smartphone before being processed, as well.

Highlight recovery looks kinda rough in some areas (i.e.

original may have begun from phone capture, thus impeding some aspects of pp iq), to me.

So, the real issue imo is why the initial post to Nature & Wildlife and the Digital Art,
Smartphone & Abstract forum? Is there thought to be some kind of connection btw the 2?

What has one got to do with the other?

OR perhaps the FM webmaster has decided that smart phone shots and digital art is compatible...

If he had given some more thought to the category when initiating it he would have realized they are not...

That said; when originated, the future of smart phones cams were unclear as well as digital art - so they do deserve some slack...

They can change that now...

Smart phone shots are rarely edited and digital art images are always edited...

Compatible? ... Nah...

Maybe if you had checked the Digital Art, Smartphone & Abstract Forum for the OP's other images on that forum, you might have figured out it has been digitally altered. That, along with comments from those that already did that, instead of assuming it had anything to do with a Smartphone.
