While on my morning walk around the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside, NY; I spotted this juvenile osprey standing in the south west pond. I thought that was unusual so I stopped and watched expecting it to blast off. I put the wind at my back knowing it would take off into the wind and after about a 10 minute wait it did the usual poop and then blast off though nothing came out in three tries. The pond is pretty far away so I've cropped all but the first image.

wow Morris what a nice sequence shoot. I like the little bit of motion blur from the tips of the wings while the bird body is sharp, kind of how they shoot formula one so you get a sense of the speed with wheel blur. Really nice . Really like the low level perspective as well.
