The last 4 summers i've floated in on this local pair of Eagles with my kayak and photographed them and the kids(once they started flying)
I wrote this last weekend
Chip and Jo's breakfast routine
Yesterday I took these pics
1.I shall call you "Crash" because on this flight I don't think he had a end goal as he just launched himself into the tree's over my right shoulder, all I heard was branch's breaking and cracking all the way to his plummet to the ground. could be the same Eagle that I heard crashed into the water after running out of steam two weeks prior

2. I went to check on him, saw him walking around on the ground, then flew up to this branch 6ft off the ground. then fly to a higher one, on the way to that he was cracking a bunch of branch's on the flight, he finally emerged and I saw him fly two more times with perfect landings, Kids and their resiliance bodies huh haha
.

3. Chip sliiiiiiiiding left after cleaning his beak on that up branch right. he had a busy morning, I personally saw him bring in two fish to the nest today.

4. Joanna, with the moon in the background looking into her nest watching her crazy kid guard the 3 fish brought there this morning. The kid would not share with its sibling today. kind've comical watching mom trying to play peace making with the brat. twice she had to fly over and parent a bit.

over 4 years I've seen them fledge 7 kids. they are very resourceful Eagles and stay here throughout the winter hunting all kinds of sources to stay alive.
cheers, thanks for looking
