When the tide is outgoing and the Midshipman fish are trapped in the pools left by the outgoing tide, you can be treated to quite a show when the eagles show up.

A really wonderful set, Louie! I looked at the exif and noticed that you used two systems for that set. The resulting files look virtually the same though. Did you capture that set on the same day?

Thanks very much Joshua and yes I shot all of these on the same morning. I had my D5 setup on a tripod with a 60mm/tc1.4 and over my shoulder I had the A9ii with the 200-600mm. With this setup I was ready for close in action as well as the distance action.

Lovely photos- liked them all.
Are the eagles there year round? I have a son that lives in North Bend and maybe I can get there too. Is a 500 on a crop camera going to be enough? Do you have to stand on the shells to get a photo? Sorry for all the questions.

Fantastic- can't wait to get out to see him- if they are there all the time.
