p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Wildlife of Florida

#1 is of Florida's first tourist attractions, the park was once known for its scenic vistas and native wildlife. But for the last 80 years, the park's biggest draw has been its monkeys. That's right—Silver Spring State Park is home to at least 300 rhesus macaques, a monkey native to south and southeast Asia.

#2 Nephila pilipes is a species of golden orb-web spider. It can be found in Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, and Australia. It is commonly found in primary and secondary forests and gardens. "and Florida"

Thanks for looking,
Carol

Thanks for the information about the monkey Carol. That's a new one for me and a new place to visit. Lovely image and a good image of the male and female spiders.

First I had heard about the maqaques as well... all my monkey pics are Costa Rica based. How do they keep these monkeys from spreading over half of Florida.... big fences?
