Birdie,
A superb set.
Photographing a picture-wing fly is tricky enough without having to find one to match the flower!
Harold
Thanks so much Harold, they are small and quick little things aren’t they.

Phenomenal set, Birdie! Such a fascinating and rewarding reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty (and action) around us. Each seems meticulously composed for optimal enjoyment.
The "perch" in the first was initially a little distracting to me because it seemed like a man-made thing, but then I think I convinced myself it was a stick, and piped down. Sometimes we've just got to play the hand we're dealt. The real subject more than makes up for it.
Thanks for posting.

Kim, you always say some thoughtful and nice things. Thank you.
As to the perch , it is a real branch, that my husband painted and made a sculpture type thing of. So, real but painted by man
