p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Insect ID or Ideas?

Found this little guy in our garden plot next to the tomatoes. Looks and acts a bit like a leafhopper but is much larger... any ideas as to what it might be?

Thanks in advance for any hard ID, ideas, or pointing me in the general direction so I can figure it out.

Neat shot. It is a leaf hopper. There are several varies and colors.

I'm having a blast seeing what a vibrant ecosystem there is on the leaves and stems of our garden plants. So many types of leafhoppers ranging from "beefy" to tiny - yay!

And while the number of aphids around is frightening (we're all organic), I now feel much more comfortable with really cheering for that assassin bugs :-)

Cool shots!!! The Fb bug ID page(s) can be good. Good to get an ID on the one you posted. I have seen similar bugs and wondered if they are leafhoppers. I think I found its house one time

Thanks for the tip about the Fb bug ID page... fortunately I committed Fb suicide long ago, and as cool as this options sound, it's not nearly enough to lure me back :-)
