I have been trying to get this shot for over a year now! While the conditions weren't perfectly clear, I think the clouds look pretty cool here.
This was a 30 image pano I cropped down to conform to 2:3 aspect ratio. It consists of 15 images with a star tracker for the Milky Way and 16 untracked images for the foreground.
I used my h-alpha modified Nikon Z6 and Nikkor 50 1.8 S lens to take this shot. I took the 15 tracked shots for the stars at f/2.8, ISO 1600, and 2 minutes. During blue hour, I took another 16 shots to capture the detail in the landscape at f4, ISO 100, 6 seconds.
I did initial adjustments in LR on each image, then sent the foreground and star mosaics respectively into PTGui for pano stitching. Once complete, I did edits on the star mosaic in Pixinsight. After this, I brought the output file into PS where I stitched it together with the foreground mosaic which I created earlier using PTGui. I used masking to correct for a small discrepancy between the layers while performing additional adjustments to my liking such as curves, star reduction, and noise reduction to yield this final result.
