I saw a hummingbird in my yard at the bougainvillea blossoms and shot a couple of photos with my a7R4 and the 200-600G + 1.4x. This shot was nice and sharp, but as I looked closer, the hummingbird had grown another wing! It wasn't a mutant, a later shot showed the normal two wings per bird. I can only assume that the third wing is due to rolling shutter. I was using the electronic shutter so that there would be no shutter sounds to scare the bird away. I have seen rolling shutter with this camera before, but it has always been very obvious, whereas this third wing almost looks normal. I will shoot hummingbirds with the a9 in the future. Has anyone else seen added body parts due to rolling shutter?
