I've followed FM for quite a few years and finally joined last year. I've always been impressed with the quality of the postings and CC and I'm very grateful for everything that I've learned on this site. I figured that it was about time that I start contributing (I have been very creative with my excuses not to post) so here is my first post. I shot this along the Stanislaus River in the Fall a number of years ago. I was hiking with some friends that live in the area and spotted an interesting section of the river. My friends got tired of waiting and continued their hike for several more miles. Hours later when they returned, they were astonished to see me perched on the same rocks where they had left me several hours earlier. Time has a way of standing still while we are immersed in photography. I would appreciate any comments, suggestions and criticism. Improving my photography is more important to me than massaging my ego so please don't worry about offending me.
