This was a "grab shot" as in "quick grab the camera, look at that!" I had given up on a nice sunrise due to cloud cover, but then the wind blew some clouds away and the light got pretty good. I was shooting hand held and the light was changing fast with the fast moving clouds, but was pretty happy with how this came out. Thanks for looking!

I hate to say how many times I've been fooled by what I thought was just another uneventful sunset/sunrise sky only to see it suddenly explode for a minute or two. This is a nicely composed grab shot.

I like the light and the layered mountains perspective. I'm not so sure about having the sun so close to the edge of the frame but out of the shot, though I understand from your description that the light was changing fast.
