This one is so called grazy Capercaillie… I guess, that when there is too low population,they want to leg with anything, which is coming to their territory. So I was the one!!!

So they are not flying away, but attacking against! And it has big beak and hitting hard with wings... Sometimes I had to run away

But what wouldn't I do for pics….

Terrific images! Thanks for enduring the abuse to get some great images for us to see.

I agree with Bob that they look a bit like our turkeys (the tail), but wild turkeys are very skittish. Farm turkeys are another matter and can be very aggressive.

Wow--remarkable action in what looks like tough conditions. You did very well conveying the intensity of their ritual. I especially like the one showing the sunlit sky in the background--definitely adds value to the image.
