I don’t think that it is possible to get an overload of gorilla images... They are all wonderful and enjoyable but the first batch has more superb images than first the second one although they are outstanding images in the second as well.
Thank you for sharing,
Joshua
Thanks so much, Joshua!

simply marvelous, Jeff. The experience in itself must be so fulfilling. Glad you got to do it before the madness started. wow. the eyes are to die for. voted.
Cheers, KD! The experience was second to none - especially because you actually have to put forth effort to get to where you can view them.

Thank you! Viewing these creatures that share so much in common with humans is truly humbling.

Wonderful set of images and I am sure it was a great experience.
I checked the EXIF for a few of them. It appears you were pretty close.
Thanks for posting them.
Dave
Thanks David! We were fairly close (kept at distance by the rangers/guards), but at one time the female who I have some pics munching leaves moved and walked within touching distance of my wife and myself.
Goosebumps!!!

Oh my Jeff you have some wonderful characters here that you caught great shots of. This shooting looks most challenging with light and all the foliage etc but you got some great eye contact and some really special 'thinker' 'gazer' images
I enjoyed each one buddy, what an experience to remember, I'm glad you shared!
Karl
Thank you for the kind words, Karl! Without a doubt the most challenging conditions I'd have in my experience shooting wild animals. I guess we have to make the best of what we're dealt, right? The blessing and curses of being a tourist.

Thanks a lot, Daniel!! Please add it to your short list once the craziness in the world settles down. We hope to trek in Rwanda one day!

The trip of a lifetime Jeff, and a very enjoyable set indeed ~ Ron
You're definitely right, Ron - between the people we met and the animals we experienced it's some times we'll cherish forever.

Outstanding set from an amazing trip/experience! Too many great shots to choose but man, I love those direct eye contact shots. Great job Jeff!
Dave
Thanks buddy!! Yeah, the eye contact is huge - it's just like looking into a person's eyes and you get that 'connection'. It was the same way with the chimps too. Maybe one day we can get to Borneo and check out the Orangs.

Enjoyed them all, Jeff. What a thrill it must have been to see and photograph them!
Thanks Fred! Beyond words, my friend. There's something special about viewing wildlife in their own habitats, especially if you get to go on foot.
