p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Coyote Gulch Photography Locations

Hello Forum,

I just finished a longer blog about Coyote Gulch Landscape Locations that some of you might find interesting. This location is well known but the websites I discovered were all about the dangerous "sneak route" to get in and out in 1 day. I could not find as much about exploring and enjoying the canyon, specifically from a photographer's standpoint.

So while you are all just quarantined and dreaming of places to go, maybe you could enjoy planning your next trip to Coyote Gulch. IDK but I hope you enjoy it. Here are some photos from my trip there. It's amazing to visit.

A lovely waterfall in the lower canyon:

Nice photos. I have done the sneak route a few times. Always wear gloves, as i found out the hard way

Really useful info and beautiful shots, Gordon. Thanks for the effort you've put into sharing the details with people. I was considering spending a couple nights down there last September, but we ended up going to the other end of the river between Escalante and Hwy 12. Southern UT is by far my favorite place to backpack, so I always love seeing your shots of the redrock (even when it's frustrating not knowing when I'll be able to get back out there!).

Scary! That's all I can say. I don't see where you would get into and out of the canyon in that part. I looked and just shook my head with fear that people actually do that! I'm glad you lived.

Thanks much! I'd highly recommend this. It's very relaxing and amazing. It's a place that made me pinch myself to know it was real, I was there and life is awesome sometimes. What a place. You won't be disappointed if you go.

That's a wild place. I've never been anywhere even close to like it. Must be cool walking around such giant, ancient features.
