In the midst of the coronavirus, normal life in NYC has grinded to a halt as almost all non-essential businesses have closed their doors indefinitely. In light of the theme of "iron", I wanted to shoot a small scene of a nail salon a few blocks from my apartment, shuttered and walled off with the ubiquitous iron roll-down gates that normally protect so many NYC businesses but now serve as grim reminders of a new and uncertain reality.
