Anyone has this cover for their 200-600? I'm thinking about getting one. Wonder how well it fits and stays on.

Better made than a lens coat, a bit thicker (+/- depending on perspective) but stays put and doesn’t curl.

Looks nice. I can't say enough good things about the rolanpro if you are still shopping though. I've swapped my lenscoats for them as they are better built with much better edges and better function around switches and focus/zoom rings.

Thanks. It's $85 on Amazon. Going to get it instead.

@gordec, so how is the RolanPro holding up. I am going to get the cover for 200-600 this weekend. I have LensCoat sitting in my Amazon cart, but glad I found this thread.

I had the RolanPro for about 6 months. It held up well. I have since went back to 100-400 GM with 1.4x. No long have the 200-600.

The materials are top notch, fitting is nice and snug on the lens, and slides in and out of camera bags with ease. There's a thin rubber ring inside the piece of the hood to prevent it from sliding around. Great attention to detail imo.

Here are my issues with it: 1) Took the pieces off the zoom and focus rings because it was too smooth to handle and kept rubbing against the other pieces. 2) The piece closest to the mount (velcro cover to the buttons) tends to slide around and isn't perfectly aligned. I don't know if they can do a better job due to the angler fall off near the lens mount.

Now if they made a black one, I would 100% buy another.

If you want scratch protection, may also consider and 3M decal skin. I put it on my 100-400. It looks good. No bulk added. Obviously no drop protection, but I don't think these sleeves will buffer too much physical damage.

Agree that the RolanPro is a good cover, with the exception of the rear most piece. This reduces the space on has for their fingers between the grip and lens. That space is tight enough as it is, and that was just too much for me, particularly with gloves on. I got some camo skin and custom cut for that area. was not too hard to do and came out great.

I have a Lenscoat on mine, but I would recommend the RolanPro after seeing my buddy's. The Lenscoat does a fine job protecting the lens from scratches, but the RolanPro fits better and looks much better.
