I'd like to get critiques of this picture, as I'm new to landscapes and not sure about my compositions. This was shot at 18mm on a Fuji X-T30.

Whoops. This is much bigger than I thought it would be. Not sure how to adjust the size?

It is a beautiful scene. What takes away from the image is the blurry foreground (ledge?). If it was possible, you should have framed it with the camera higher.

This is a nice scene that has a lot of potential. Makes me wish I lived closer to this historic town. I would want to get back there when the spring foliage is popping and especially for fall color. A night scene might be interesting. As Rajan noted, the OOF foreground is a major distraction. Even if it were in focus, I don't think it would add to the image. The sky is not particularly interesting. I'd crop the topmost (maybe a 16x9) and experiment with brushing in some contrast for what is left. Some vibrance or saturation might get the red buildings to stand out more. A minor detail, even on my small screen the sky seems a bit grainy making me wonder what ISO was used. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Junglialoh, Rajan Parrikar, Psharvic,

Thank you! It's good to know that the foreground is distracting. The sky was very boring and I was only up in the area for a couple of hours.

I have some other shots without the rock that I will mess around with. This was shot at ISO 800, because I was losing light, and there were strong winds. This was hand-held because I didn't have a tripod and needed to balance my hands on the rock.

Nice composition to explain the need for bracketing and working in layers - both focus bracketing to put foreground in focus and exposure bracketing to expand your dynamic range - especially the blown out sky. Then in terms of distractions I would address how to remove those treetop branches in center immediately after foreground.

I think a little crop goes a long way on this one. It's a nice image.

I've never focus/exposure bracketed an image before, mainly because I have no idea how to stack it in post. Thank's for the tip on the branches. you're right, they're distracting. I could definitely work in post to remove them. Thanks for the advice!

That actually surprises me how much the image changes. I like that crop, and I don't think it would hurt for me to crop part of the sky, either. Thank you!
