My E-M1 ii shoots 80MP stills on a tripod. Although the Panasonic 45-200 I'm using for tests isn't sharp enough to make a difference

I'd like to request that someone getting a Mk3 do a quick comparison between the tripod based hi-res mode between it and the Mk2. It seems like something must have improved if they're willing to push 80mp jpg images out rather than the 50mp from the Mk2, but I'd like to see what.

Would also like to see if there's any change in how the tripod based hi-res mode handles motion, like a moving stream or waterfall.

Thank you in advance to whoever checks it out!

I just got the M1.3. Like the HHHR and MyMenu a lot. I did not use HR modes with my previous Olympus models as I use them mainly for handheld shooting. Quite happy with HHHR, though processing them is slower than when using standard resolution files (Nik software, PS actions).
Lightroom does not a good job on Olympus HR files. I get much better results with Iridient's O-Transformer, which integrates into my LR/PS workflow quite nicely.

If you compare HHHR with single shot results you will find that in many cases the resolution increase is minimal if at all.

When I compared my HHHR (processed with LR & O-Transformer) and single-shot results (LR), both reduced to the size of single-shot, HHHR had better details, less noise, and probably more DR.
Do you observe different results with your M1x or M1.3?

Thank you for the links to the discussions!

I have observed considerable differences in image quality depending on which demosaicing software is being used. Which software are you using?

I have compared the output of Z 7 with HHRES, and there seems to be little difference to HHHR. Of course, I need more tests to come to a reliable conclusion, but so far that mode looks promising for situations where it can be used.

I always use Olympus Workspace for HHHR.
