This winter Ive been shooting these beauties at the Kankakee Sands, a restoration prairie and sanctuary in Indiana. They are really tough because here they tend to come out 3 stops too late for a good flight shot. This one landed close to where I was already parked.

Really nice portrait with complimentary background. It is interesting that you don't see them fly/hunt in the daytime. Where I live the SEOs can be seen hunting all day long from dawn to dusk.
