I think what brings me back each morning is the wonder. No day is the same, no moment like the other. That can be frustrating sometimes, true, but the fruit from the effort is worth the early rise. Antelope Island, especially in my humble opinion, is at its best during the months of October and November. The light is extraordinary whether in the morning or evening. No bugs to bother you and this calmest that makes you feel at peace. So here I am once again...in the wild of the morning.

Thanks! I see you live in Oregon. We plan on coming through the gorge and the coast starting in the north and driving down in mid May. It will be our first time and very much looking forward to it!

Stunning. I have family that live in Willard, but never got the chance to go to Antelope. I'll have to make it a priority on the next visit!

Thanks and this is in the window of the best time to go (October-March). Although this was taken in morning I've come to the conclusion evening light is best out there. I hope this helps.
