I was very blessed last year since I visited a few countries for photography purposes including beautiful Ecuador.

Here are a few shots that I had the chance to process before leaving on another photo tour in my beloved Costa Rica.

I hope you enjoy these shots!

Juan Carlos

This is a sub-species of the Andean Cock-of-the-rock found in eastern Ecuador

Plate-billed Mountain-Toucan

A super special hummingbird, Wire-crested Hummingbird.

In case you want to know how the female Cock-of-the-rock looks like! :)

Bronzy Inca, this is a rather drab hummer unless you catch it in good light! :)

Opal-crowned Tanager looking straight at my lens!

A beautiful Long-tailed Sylph.

This hummingbird hold its wings up upon landing on a branch, Buff-tailed Coronet. It´s also one of the most territorial hummingbirds!

2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 seem to have the best feather detail making them my favorites over all of these well exposed and composed images Juan

I love the Toucan and the Sylph. All are absolutely beautiful and the soft, green background compliments the photo. Very nice work. Costa Rica is beautiful with friendly people and great food! I hope to visit Ecuador some day.
