Before the toucan went to get the food, it landed on that branch. It showed up only once and it took only some 30 seconds from the time the toucan landed there and for it to fly away. I have no problem with setup shots. Your shots looked to be setup shots. Same bird, same perch, same back ground.
I have over the years taken many set up shots. All of my setup shots have been in my back yard.
