I just wanted to check in to the I'm bitching about not having a review on a camera that hasn't been released yet thread.

I wasn't bitching - just asking a logical question. Canon releases a camera designed for sports photographers and all the initial reviews are from wedding and portrait photogs, which isn't exactly the market you were targeting. How much sense does that make to you?

Maybe sports photographers just do less yakking.

I haven't done a real resource survey, but it seems offhand I see a lot more online bloviating from wedding, commercial, and portrait photographers than from sports photographers under all circumstances.

I haven't seen an actual review yet. I've only seen previews that are painfully biased.

I only made it through two minutes... I’m anxiously awaiting the arrival of the camera. I’m most interested to see how it does with my 600iii at 1/160!

You did well, K of K, I couldn't get to the 1 minute mark.

Won't get one myself, but that's not because it isn't a great camera! Just doesn't match my needs.

Yeah, you were bitching. The camera hasn't yet been released but you want all sorts of reviews from a specific group that usually doesn't do video reviews. FWIW the 1Dx was very widely used by wedding and portrait photogs. If you are a sports professional, you don't need to see these reviews as you are going to be buying it already. The people who need the reviews are the wedding and portrait people who normally wouldn't invest $6k into a camera. Those are the people you need to sell your camera to.

I see 100:1 more soccer moms driving Porsches than race car drivers. The soccer moms could care less how many G’s it can pull!!!
Just how good it looks pulling into the Galleria parking lot!!! LoL

LoL, this is one of the funniest videos I’ve ever seen about photography!
It didn’t say much unless you’re into video and then it still didn’t say much.
But I’ll rate it highly on pure entertainment value. The music track was the best! 👍
Then again I used to love Dr Who, were garbage cans and vacuum cleaners were Aliens and dogs!!! LoL

I don't think this vid was previously posted.

Two sports photographers are part of this four person panel...worth a watch....these guys actually submitted thousands of their images to create the deep learning programmed into the camera.

That was my thought also. But he does mention near the end that he usually doesn't use the 1.4TC and yet he did for all the shots he shared. I think he would have been much better to shoot the bare 400mm lens. Of course shots way down the field would suffer some but still....

Yes, if you are out shooting Pterodactyls then his experience should be relevant to bird photography
