Remarkable how many spots along the west coast now have the invasive pampas grass. I see it often along the redwood coast when I drive there every few weeks.

Indeed. It was all along the Fort Bragg coastline.

The coast line is lovely near there from what I've seen in photos. Ever cross paths with a photographer from Ft. Bragg, who used to be a high climber and timber industry guy. His name is Gerald Beranek, who authored about 5 books on coast redwoods, Fundamentals of General Tree Work, and High Climbers and Timber Fallers. He's enjoyed photography for most of his years, and lives in Ft. Bragg.
