Update . Im am totally hosed. I had a really bad feeling. So I went to the Genius bar. So a couple stupid thing Apple does is once there is a update they wipe out all old firmware never to be seen again by God or anyone else. Two you cant load a previous version than update from a newer version. Okay we all assumed that anyway. So lets be clear there is no great white hope to fix this freaking thing PERIOD. I got reload the software, typical BS line that the Genius bar does. Folks lets be clear Im a Pro that knows Apple better than Apple. I was looking for a string in the pipeline to get .1 version. There is none, Oh i had one option buy a 3900 16inch in the box that still had version one and say a pray i can use my .2 backup. At this point nothing is working. Soooo I wait for a answer. Checking Phase one forums its the same and its getting really ugly, trust me im not the only Pro in Peril here , there are a lot of folks freaking out.

Now there is a another option use my wife's MacBOOK Air with .1 and wipe her out than reload ALL my software on hers than back that up than reload on mine but that may not work either

Is hiring a digital technician for the gig an option? You could hire their macbook/imac as part of their fee. That's what I would do in your situation as it is a paid job.

Im in LA so their are some digital techs i could hire. Good thought

I do have my daughters MacBOOK 2018 13 inch as well i could load. but not a ton of horsepower

Well update still no fix sooooooo I did what any gear whore would do. Buy a new MBP. My guess since it's in the box it has .1 on it. I'm going to start completely over with all new app load ins. It was getting a little old with software builds so I will wipe it clean it's on the buy and sell. I bought a 16 inch 2.4 i9 8 core 32gb of ram and 8gb of video plus a 1tb drive.i want one anyway but I was going to wait till I sold my home

Still no fix YET but I solved it . Just cost 3500 to do it.

16 Inch I9 2.4 , 32 gb of Ram and 1 Tb drive high end graphics card. Bought from Adorama with no tax.

So to the root problem it had 10.15.1 on it out of the box. I reloaded most of it by hand but mail is now a goner. it wanted .2 because I copied from it. Is mail is bricked but I have my phone and iPad. What I will do is just do nothing until I get back from LA and upgrade than. Oh and Apple had no fix for mail, I went up the ladder for nothing good

Anyway still a nice unit but they need to handle these things much better than this. The just do things and we find out later, Sorry Apple dont pay me to beta test there stuff. I did a time machine too.
