This past week, I had my first-ever 2-day visit to Conowingo, MD. Neither the weather nor the eagles cooperated very well, and I saw only few actions during the two days. Below is a fishing sequence I managed to capture. This was quite far and as such, the images, all shot with D5 with 600mm+TC-14eIII, had to be heavily cropped...

Getting ready to dive...

Diving down...

Getting into the position and the talons ready...

Touch down...

I think I got it...

Heading back up...

But let's first check to make sure that it is actually a fish...

Time to escape fast before I get attacked by other eagles...

Very nice despite the crops That location requires putting in the time or getting very lucky. I went a number of times over several years, but never got lucky ~ Ron
