Caveat Emptor....re: DXO photolabs. I recently purchased the elite upgrade for the software I have been using for years now...you know the Nik pluggins and then the DXO ones that they rolled out over a year ago. Well I recently received notice that they have upgraded them again and decided I would go for the upgrade. Unfortunately, it appears it is not compatible with certain mac computers/hard drives. When I contacted DXO they said it was a mac issue related to other hard drives plugged in....but this was happening with the base hard drive and not with external drives as they had suggested. They told me I had to go to Apple...ie: bring my computer in to get it "fixed" as it wasn't a software issue....not only is that a pain but it seems that before software is release it should have been tested and any issues made aware to the public. Now they say that the software is not returnable....why, if I had returned it within 10 days of purchase but before it was activated I would be ok but since I activated it I can no longer return it....quite a Catch-22....had I not activated it I would not have found out that the software was incompatible. After a few back and forth emails with them I decided I will contact my credit card company as well as make sure all on social media are aware so that they don't have the same issue. If anyone has a solution to this problem that is easy to accomplish please let me know.
Thanks
