After almost 8 months from my last visit, I am almost ready to go back to Iceland for about two weeks of photography there! Iceland is always beautiful, but in winter is truly amazing and I am very excited to be there again. Here's a shot from my last visit, taken at the amazing Vestrahorn mountain:

236 seconds (almost 4 minutes) of exposure with my Hasselblad X1D, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-HItech Firecrest Ultra filters.

Awesome photo of amazing landscape. THis place has so many different compositions, hard to get bored looking at photos from this location.

Unbelievable - the long exposure was such a great idea. The light is so soft and pastel.

I love what a long exposure can do to a very slow moving sky - the clouds still retain shape, but the long exposure softens and smoothens the colour tones and the light in a way that I find very appealing and unique. Sadly, it only works with some kind of clouds...
