Some nice collection of tigers from my second home Bandhavgarh.
Just going through the posts and my two cents:
- Total number of vehicles are restricted to 20 in a particular Zone.
- Whenever tiger sighting happens as everyone wants to see, the vehicle congregation happens.
- No more so called tiger shows happens now.

What you say is true, but there are exceptions. This year in March (in fact from the beginning of the season until later in the year) the incursion of wild elephants resulted in traffic from the third zone to be diverted to the other two. So it ended up with more than 20 vehicles in the other two zones. The mad rush that ensues when the tiger is anywhere close to the road is also scary. But again that is caused by the demands of people like us that want the Tiger in their frames on the camera.

I used to frequent the forests of Simplipal during my days growing up in Kolkata. It was a whole different level of tranquility.

Hello Bibek, your images are truly wonderful captures. I would not think by the images that the area was full of vehicles, I think your concern/awareness of the infringement says a lot about your respect for the animals.
I look forward to your next post of the tigers

Thank you Karl. I managed to keep the vehicles out of the frame whenever possible. but at other times, kept them in to get a perspective on how things get. Check this out.

Thanks a lot. Late June can get a bit iffy with the Monsoon coming in. The parks are closed from July 1st - Sept 30th (early Oct). Late May-mid-June will be fine. It will be HOT like hell, but that's the reason the animals congregate around the water bodies and improve your chances of sightings.

This year we went in early March, next year we will do late March and in 2021 I want to go in late April. As you are aware the Mahua trees and the Palas bloom in Spring and that adds some special color to the jungle as well as the Mahua fruit drives the animals insane.

Let me know if you want more information and I will be glad to share what I know.

The recent elephant incursion problem again started now. The park is facing new challenges this season too. Hope for the best. Never been to Similipal.
