Sunday went looking for my bobcat image. Have only seen the tip of its tail and fleeting away from me. Other than that documentary butt shot I had not made a bobcat image in my life yet.

The same luck followed me and other than that tip of a tail running away from me, did not get a bobcat within a meaningful frame.

On the day though, we saw a burrowing owl, possible a pygmy owl catching a bug under the car headlamp, a coyote, one river otter, several birds, but on this day where holding a 600mm on a tripod steady was a tough exercise, did manage to make some images. Your critiques are as usual welcome.

Flying in to the 60 mph wind was tougher than me holding my lens on a tripod.

Those are sweet images, Bibek! The last two images of the heron are my pick, although I like the first egret image, too. The fire situation leaves an uneasy feeling, regardless how far away the actual fires are...

Thank you very much. Yes it is pretty bad up there. I am really sorry for the folks living up there. The air is heavy :-(

I like the Great White Egret exploring sand dunes. Not the usual Great White Egret image.

KD i keep going back at least 5-6 times a year, but not a single feline yet :-) yes i have found the owls, but no cats..

These are all fantastic but that egret in #2 is just striking. Very nice work on them all.
