...Sigma 60 - 600. Great zoom range for an potential western trip for mammals. AF is OK, IS is OK, weight is OK but the sharpness is a bit lacking.

I got that lens couple of months ago, I use it with Nikon D500, usually I like the results, not super but acceptable, checkout this link to have an idea

Good set. Reach and versatility for a good price. You cannot expect miracles, but the results are good.

Nice set. I would try to increase the shutter speed as it should help with the sharpness.
