This is a captive bird that I photographed while traveling in New Mexico. There was no information available as to why it's not free and I'm hoping it's a rescue bird.

For me, eagle time starts as the Hudson River freezes in the head waters driving them down to the Lower Hudson moving them to within an hour's drive from my home. Possibly I'll make a trip to the Allegany or Delaware as I have not visited either of them in a while.

its nice to see the close detail in the feathers around the neck. Have you thought about lightening/ yellowing the eyes a little bit? Just a bit dark
