There are two pair of Mandarin Ducks at our regional park, and they're fairly tolerant of people making shots of them easier. The first three dramatic backgrounds are from the colorful wheels of some paddle boats stored nearby.

I don't usually post this many shots but couldn't help myself this time.

Terrific images, Bob. I especially like the ones of them in the grass, as have only seen them in the water before.

Hi Morris, the color is from reflections of the paddleboat tires in storage on the lake.

Nice shots, Bob! I had very similar results (a few years ago) when they criss-cross the reflected bands of color from the paddle boats - I believe the paddle boats are called water tricycles.

Lovely subject in glamorous light! Wow these are nice Bob. The first one looks to me to have a bluish cast to it otherwise all the other look just super! Last one on may have room to dig out more shadow detail but it might just be what I see on my crappy work laptop
