Thank you all for the kind remarks. Was very fortunate to get this shot. For some reason this pack decided to locate there assembly point just 150 yards upstream from our home. I believe it was the proximity to salmon along the banks of the river. They are more active when the tides are low and the dead or dying salmon are more accessible. I believe we are on the boundary line between two packs and these howling outbursts are a way of staking there claim. Although it wasn't the case in this photo have heard both packs put on quite an audio duel.
