As someone mentioned above, check with the smaller regional camera stores. I received two calls today from local stores saying my order has come in, "Do I still want the lens?" No, I managed to get a copy about three weeks ago. So at least two copies are available. I suspect a new batch of lenses touched down last week, and are now being distributed.

Kenmore shipped mine on Monday via USPS Priority Mail . It was in the system Monday evening. Washington state to Arizona. Was scheduled to arrive today.

$1998 is a minimum price this lens can be advertised. There is no restriction on the maximum.

Mine arrived yesterday and the AF and short throw of the zoom ring is fabulous. Still early for good birds in Az but here is a shot of the ever present egrets.

So I ended up cancelling my order with BH and called Service Photo. They had me a lense in 1 week and shipped it this past Saturday. Really like the customer service at Service Photo...guess they just picked up a new customer

B&H has several used FE 200-600 G zooms in stock at the moment, $1498 and up... although their online ordering is closed until Tuesday evening.

Makes sense. Can't think of many reasons several used versions of this highly sought lens would suddenly be available.
