Does Englewood Camera have a list going? They rarely stock lenses of that size, but, if they don't have a list going, they might be able to get you one quickly.

I’m first on the list of a small retailer, but the owner says Sony’s promise of sending him one copy every two weeks hasn’t been true for the last three weeks. I called another place where I was lucky with my Nikon 500mm PF, but they have a waiting list for the Sony lens.

I have purchased all my Nikon ( past) and Sony gears from Burke at Service Photo at Baltimore, great , no nonsense guy to deal with it and able to get me all high demand items at the day of release, even they don't have in stock, get in the list and you may have better luck than big on line warehouse stores.

I'm frustrated with Cardinal Camera where I've been on pre-order since July.
I've never had to wait like this, and wonder if I should cancel and get my money back.
