Often we see wildlife partially obscured yet the view is still compelling. Here I present a mix of photos taken at the Marine Nature Study Area in Oceanside NY showing a green heron as I saw it through the grasses as well as on the muddy bank of a stream. I'm shooting down form a raised walkway.

Well done Morris, I really like that first shot, quite different but still very interesting.

Nice job, Morris! The grasses don't obscure the heron; they only make for an interesting composition!

I like #3 the best. The eye and beak are tack sharp but there is clear movement in the leg. I like #7 too, because I can see the outstretched talons as he walks. Nice timing on that one!
