The flowers here are going, going, gone so I took a couple of the Asters as I walked around and did some different stuff with them so.....

One that was taken with a wide open-ness to it

Early morning getting ready to open once the sun hits me! Added noise

Come on sun, come on help me

I really like the first one Lynn, I prefer the smooth vs noise/grain look. That one has a nice glow and pleasing comp for me. Fussy, webby, curly sits nicely in the frame too

Lovely colors. I don't always mind grain in a shot, but I find it too tight and hard (digital if you would) in the second. A little lighter and more irregular might work better for me. But, I like the composition of that one the best. The flower pops nicely upward and toward me. I like the softness in the first. Might like less negative space on the bottom left putting the base of the flower in that area. But, that might be more conventional than what you wanted.

Cropping to square format has some potential.

The first is gorgeous lynn. The others have a lot of noise and I'm wondering why at ISO 800.

It's because I added it to them for a trial idea and it looks like it's not a good one but I tried ....

Very nice Lynn. Fun to experiment . Love the first one. I have to agree a bit too much noise added for my taste

These are really pretty Lynn. Especially that first one. Just when you think it's maybe a little too soft, it just keeps grabbing at you.
