A friend was kind enough to let me shoot with his 200-600G lens that morning for a few hours. I must say, I am impressed with the lens. With it being a lot cheaper comparing to the prime lenses, this will get more people into wildlife photography.

Hi Troy,

I'm liking all of these and particular the first where there is some terane and super lighting and sharpness. Are the others crops? They seem to have that look to me.

I shot with the same lens the other day, nothing serious, just curious how it felt and I was amazed at how well it balanced. It was on an older body and AF was slow and I know that was caused by the body. Are you going to get one?

Morris, yes they were cropped. I will get one when I fully commit to Sony.

Great images, Troy! I see that you captured the more skilled juvenile out of the two. Yes, this guy has perfected the skill while the other still makes blunders in its effort.

Amit, it filled probably 30% of the frame...not sure how I would measure the crop

Very nice!

I'm hoping to get to S. FL this winter to Brian Piccolo Park. But was told the 100-400 would be good since you can get so close. But that reach of the 200-600!!!
